I hope to eventually get around to writing a rundown of the many hotels I’ve stayed in while traveling to Portland, ME since May. But for now, here’s an update on this week.
I was back at the Pine Crest Inn; this time in the Stoningham room. It’s a suite, so it was great to work in the sitting area, then ‘retire’ to the bedroom to (attempt) to sleep. (I’m plagued by insomnia.) Photo of the bedroom is below. I’d already made a mess of the sitting room, so instead of sharing that photo I’ve included one of their breakfast room/restaurant.
Unfortunately, my attempt to return home wasn’t as pleasant as my stay. For the fourth (?) time, my return flight was cancelled. After much negotiating, I ended up on a 5:40 am flight the next day that took me from Portland, ME to Washington Dulles to Philadelphia. The 9:17 am arrival turned into 10:45 am, and there was an accident on I-95. Sigh…the glamour of business travel.
But I’m home. And looking forward to the Quincy room next week….
